"Con-dead-erate"

Films: Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies (2012)

Alias: Various

Type: Mutant

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Just this year, we bore witness to one of the greatest presidents ever annihilating the supernatural enemies of America. Well, he's doing it again! But because this is the Asylum, it has to be a step down from vampires. A huge step down, we might add.

History: Out of nowhere, a zombie outbreak has been ravaging Confederate-era USA, and a young Abraham Lincoln's parents were among the first of the infected. Driven by this tragedy, Abe vows to hunt down the increasing horde of undead with a few friends by his side, including prominent historical figures such as Stonewall Jackson and Theodore Roosevelt.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Most of the zombies are killed by a large explosion, but Lincoln's love, having been infected by zombie blood, gets Lincoln infected as well. Seeing no other alternative and after the Civil War has ended, Lincoln arranges an assassination for himself from none other than John Wilkes Booth, who wanted to off him anyway.

Powers/Abilities: Just getting scratched/bitten/sprayed with blood infects people with the virus, though anything that doesn't involve biting takes longer.

Weakness: Headshots.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Zombies are zombies, ergo, they can even make an Asylum movie bearable with their presence. Not helping is how even coming into contact with them puts you in peril of becoming one of them yourself!

Trivia: -The climax was shot on location in an actual Confederate stronghold known as Fort Pulaski. Located on Cockspur Island, this place was equal parts POW camp/moment where the Union made it clear that brick-strongholds were useless for the south, particularly because before then, the Union didn't realize just how effective rifled cannons were.

-Ironically, Abe's actor in this film, Bill Oberst Jr., played as a couple of zombies in 2011's "Death Valley".
